This Genuine Chevrolet Accessories Remote Start package enables you to pre-warm or cool the cabin of your Malibu. The Remote Start Upgrade kit includes two Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters which include an additional button for remote engine start. Often referred to as Key Fobs, these RKE transmitters are designed for models which do not include the factory remote start option (BTV). Intelligent engineering for seamless integration with the Malibu anti-theft system and enables the Malibu engine to start but does not enable the use of the transmission shifter or the accelerator pedal. Additionally, engineered safety limits the Malibu to run for 15 minutes or a maximum 30 minutes with two remote starts (See your Owners Manual). This factory option (S6P) Genuine Chevrolet Accessories kit includes two (2) new key fobs and instruction sheet with programming authorization code for dealership. The key blades in your existing Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters are reused in the new transmitters.
