This wired trailer camera is designed for placement on the rear of the trailer, inside the trailer, or both (requires 2 cameras). Camera placement on the rear of the trailer provides an additional view point and allows the infotainment system to create the "invisible" or "transparent" trailer. The Transparent Trailer View relies on the factory tailgate camera and this camera mounted at the rear of the trailer to generate a transparent trailer view. This camera is also referred to as an Auxiliary Trailer Camera which can also be used inside the trailer. Two Cameras are required for Inside Trailer View combined with Transparent Trailer / Rear Trailer View.
